the person of Eddie Spencer/ELS Jazz. Eddie has a unique ability of blending multiple genres of music into a fresh and invigorating form of smooth jazz. This Louisiana native of Shreveport has become a force to be reckoned with from his musicianship, production, tone,

and performance.

 

Once you hear his blend of Jazz, R&B, Gospel, Funk, and even Pop; you will understand why the motto and mantra of ELS Jazz is “Jazz Never Felt So Good”. The Shreveport, La native hits the stage with an infectious energy that becomes an experience that crowds never forget. From the soulful sounds of his saxophone to spirital tenor of his voice, you never know how Eddie will win you over in a performance. 

 

Spencer’s development started at a young age, after leaving Fair Park High School in Shreveport, La Spencer went on to Grambling State University as a member of the World Famed Tiger Marching band. Spencer also studied at Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA under

the likes of Alvin Baptiste and Herman Jackson. While in college Eddie began playing and performing with regional artist across the country opening up for artist such as Nancy Wilson, Rahsaan Patterson, Howard Hewett, and many others. Eddie has performed in front of tens of thousands of people across the country.

 

Eddie has been captivating crowds since the release of

his debut album “Always” in 2020 along with the release

of several singles. ELS Jazz is gearing for the release of the follow up album which will be entitled “Fair Park”. This album is set to be released in November of 2024.
